About Finchley
Largely residential and rooted in the borough of Barnet, Finchley was sparsely settled for centuries before people began to put down roots during the Norman era in the twelfth century, growing from a Middlesex village into the modern north London district seen today. Local landmarks include College Farm, an 1800s site that operated as a dairy farm before becoming a visitor attraction. The area covers N2, N3, N12, NW4, NW7 and NW11, with neighbours including Church End, Colney Hatch, East Finchley, Friern Barnet and Hampstead Garden Suburb.
Local stock here runs the gamut from listed period houses and semi–detached homes through mid–terrace properties, garages and basement flats to a steady supply of new build apartments. Selling timelines vary in step with that mix – a listed building with planning constraints, a short–lease basement flat or an onward chain above you each shape the realistic window quite differently.
Established in 2003, LDN Properties has spent more than twenty years purchasing freehold and leasehold homes throughout the capital. We are signed–up members of The Property Ombudsman (membership D12463), and because we buy with our own funds direct from owners there are no fees, no commission and no chain to manage. We actively buy in Finchley and right across the surrounding Barnet borough.
