About Hendon
Set on elevated land in north London – the name itself derives from the Old English “Hendun”, roughly “at the highest hill” – Hendon spans the NW2, NW4, NW9 and NW11 postcodes within the Barnet borough. The neighbourhood was once home to the original London Aerodrome, later RAF Hendon, and a section of the site now houses part of the Royal Air Force Museum. Local sport runs through Saracens rugby club and Hendon FC, while Sunny Hill Park and Hendon Park provide green space for residents. Surrounding districts include Brent Cross, Colindale, Cricklewood, Golders Green and Holders Hill.
Stock here is varied – from semi-detached family homes and Edwardian terraces to purpose-built flats and newer apartments – and that variety means selling timelines can shift considerably from one property to the next. Lease length on a flat, the condition of an older freehold, or a chain running through several buyers can each push the schedule one way or the other.
Buying homes directly since 2003, LDN Properties is a member of The Property Ombudsman (membership D12463) and works with owners across Hendon and the wider Barnet borough. There is no estate agent involved, which means no commission is deducted and there is no onward chain to coordinate. We purchase leasehold and freehold properties throughout NW2, NW4, NW9 and NW11.
