About New Barnet
Sitting in the northeast corner of Barnet across the EN4, EN5 and N20 postcodes, New Barnet is a largely residential district that saw a wave of property development through the mid and late 20th century, including former 1960s and 1970s office blocks that have since been redeveloped into residential flats. The neighbourhood borders Barnet, Chipping Barnet, East Barnet, Hadley and Monken Hadley, with a council-funded leisure centre that opened in 2019 anchoring the modern civic offering.
Local stock is a blend of post-war family houses, conversions in the older terraces and newer flats inside the redeveloped commercial blocks. Sale timelines vary widely – chain length on a family home, the remaining lease on a converted flat and overall condition all play a meaningful part, and properties needing extensive modernisation often take much longer to find a buyer through conventional routes.
LDN Properties launched in 2003 and holds membership of The Property Ombudsman (membership D12463). Our purchases come with no fees deducted, no commission added and no chain attached on our side. We buy directly across New Barnet and the broader Barnet borough, including freehold houses, leasehold flats and properties with legal, structural or financial issues attached.
