About Hampstead Heath
Hampstead Heath is named after the 790-acre (320-hectare) green expanse that runs from Highgate down to Hampstead, one of the highest points in the capital, with archaeological evidence of settlement on the site reaching back to the year 986. The neighbourhood sits in the south of Barnet across the NW3, NW11, N2 and N6 postcodes, neighbouring Childs Hill, East Finchley, Golders Green, Hampstead Garden Suburb and North End.
Period villas, Edwardian mansion blocks and a sprinkling of contemporary architect-designed homes define the housing here, with a meaningful share of leasehold flats around the Heath edge. Sale durations through agents can vary considerably given factors like short lease tail on apartments, the condition of large period properties and the prevalence of upward chains in the buyer pool.
Buying homes throughout Hampstead Heath and the wider Barnet borough since our launch in 2003, LDN Properties handles each purchase directly, removing commission, agency fees and the risk of a chain collapse. As registered members of The Property Ombudsman (membership D12463), we work under an enforceable code that protects sellers from the start of a conversation through to completion.
