About Freezy Water
Often written as Freezywater, this small north London locality forms part of the Enfield borough and sits within the EN1 and EN3 postcodes. Its rather distinctive name is said to come from a nearby pond that froze over readily during cold spells, and the area has a history reaching back several centuries despite being thinly populated for much of that time. The local landmark is St George’s Church, a red-brick parish building completed in 1906 that replaced an earlier temporary chapel. Neighbouring districts include Enfield Lock, Enfield Island Village, Enfield Highway, Bullsmoor, Bulls Cross and Brimsdown.
Property here covers a fairly traditional range of leasehold flats and freehold houses, from older terraces and semi-detached family homes to more recent infill developments. As with anywhere, the sale calendar shifts according to the specific home: a short remaining lease, a property that hasn’t been modernised in decades, or a buyer’s chain extending elsewhere can each lengthen the path to exchange.
Working with sellers since 2003, LDN Properties is a member of The Property Ombudsman (membership D12463) and buys homes throughout Freezy Water and the surrounding Enfield borough. As the direct buyer we don’t deduct commission, there’s no agency fee and there’s no onward chain – the legal work goes through your nominated solicitor across EN1 and EN3.
